Teaching Assignment Request Form
All Ph.D. students are required to serve as graduate instructors (GSI’s) at 25% per quarter for four quarters. At least one quarter of teaching experience is required during the first year (prior to the departmental qualifying examination). The teaching requirement (four quarters) must be completed before the Ph.D. qualifying examination (Senate exam).
