Mail Hub
Bioeng is our mail hub. To receive mail from outside the ucsd.edu domain, direct it "@bioeng.ucsd.edu"; otherwise, it can just be directed to "@bioeng".

Mail Readers
On the SGI's, there are 2 mail readers: pine and zmail. "Mail" is available on all of our machines; see below for more information.

Reading Mail
Type "Mail". Your current messages will be shown.

Useful commands:
h print out active message headers read message n
r <n> reply to sender of message n
d <n> delete message n
m <user> mail to specific user
s <n> <filename> mail to specific user
q quit help print out help message
list print out Mail options

Sending Mail
Type "Mail". You can then add a 1 line subject header, followed by your message. Type "cntl-d" to end the message.
