Integrated BS/MS >> Transition to the MS Program
Students who are admitted to the B.S./M.S. program will be admitted into the M.S. program (subject to meeting graduate admissions requirements-please consult the Graduate Student Affairs Office) effective the Fall quarter following receipt of the B.S. degree.

Students will need to do the following by January of the year of entry into the M.S. program (i.e. January 9, 2007 for Fall 2007 entry):

• Submit a completed Application for Graduate Admission (students may use the application submitted for the B.S./M.S. program) to the Office of Graduate Studies and Research (OGSR).

• Submit to OGSR all required application materials/documents such as the Application Fee, Letter of Recommendations, Statement of Purpose, GRE Official Test Scores recommended but not required), TOEFL Official Scores (if required), Official Academic Records – please refer to the instructions included in the Application for Graduate Admissions for materials/documents required.

Once students are admitted into the M.S. program they are expected to complete all requirements for the M.S. degree. M.S. degree program requirements can be found in the UCSD Catalog and/or the Bioengineering Graduate Student Handbook.

Note: Students should refer to the Bioengineering section in the UCSD Catalog and to the Bioengineering Graduate Student Handbook for complete information on departmental policies, course descriptions, program and degree requirements.
